History and Terroir

Comando G Winery was founded in 2008 by renowned Spanish winemakers and lifelong friends Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia, in the rugged Sierra de Gredos region of central Spain. With a shared passion for expressing the terroir of this unique landscape, they tend to 10 hectares of organic and biodynamically farmed vineyards, where vines range from 50 to 80 years old. Their focus is on high-altitude, single-site plots that benefit from well-draining soils, cool climates, and moist air. Grenache (Garnacha) takes center stage, crafted in a style inspired by Château Rayas, offering a refined expression of this iconic variety for serious wine enthusiasts.

Farming and Winemaking

In the cellar, Comando G adheres to natural practices, fermenting exclusively with native yeasts and using whole clusters in open-top casks. Each vineyard plot is vinified separately, aging the wines in a combination of large-format French oak barrels and clay amphorae to preserve the purity of the fruit. Known for their high-toned aromatics and ethereal, delicate flavors, Comando G wines showcase bright acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a distinctive minerality, making them a sought-after label for those who appreciate the elegance of Grenache.
