Marie Martel

Head of Events

Marie grew up in the western part of France. When she turned 17, she decided to leave her comfort zone and crossed the Atlantic ocean to spend a year in an American high school to learn English. She then moved to the beautiful city Bordeaux where she studied and graduated from INSEEC Business school, with a major in Luxury Brand Management, Food & Wine. During her studies, she had the chance to live six months in Milan and six months in London. Life and love then took her to New Zealand where she spent a year discovering this amazing country, working in vineyards and this is where she started to develop a real passion for wine. When returning to France in 2014, she joined the very animated and exciting world of auctions, first at Christie’s in Paris, and then at one of the world leading wine auction houses, where she participated in the opening of the European office as sales and events manager. After almost 10 years in this business, Marie decided to jump on a new challenge and joined Crurated where she is now head of events. In her free time, Marie is a real foodie and wine lover, she travels each time she gets the occasion and she’s always in the mood for a nice hike and some yoga.
