Quiñón de Valmira is a unique, Garnacha-dominant blend produced from a single-vineyard site in Rioja. Approximately 10% of the wine comes from a smattering of traditional varieties, though the exact percentage changes each year. In the cellar, partial whole cluster and native yeasts are used during fermentation, followed by aging in oak foudres for about one year and a half. Savory, complex, and light on its feet, this vibrant wine offers floral-tinged, red fruit flavors and a refreshing, mineral-driven finish.

After studying oenology in Bordeaux, working a coveted position at Pétrus, and traveling the world as a barrel salesman, Palacios settled down in the slate-based soils of Priorat in 1990. It was here that he acquired his first vineyard, Finca Dofi, and began his pioneering journey of championing Spain’s indigenous varieties and incredibly unique terroirs.
